Obituary of Trevor Doyle Jones
Trevor Doyle Jones passed away peacefully with his daughters present on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Parkwood Hospital at the age of 80.
Trevor is remembered by his wife Frances (née Roberts); his daughters Sarah Redfearn (Chris) and Louise Finlay (Dale); and his grandchildren Emma (Anthony), Christopher, Rebecca, Ethan, Megan, Ryan, Leah and was soon to be a Great Granpy. Trevor is survived by his brothers Ian (Chris) and Peter (Hazel) and many nieces and nephews, all of England.
Trevor was born in Solihull, England, in 1944, growing up he was very active playing rugby. Trevor and his first wife Jane, immigrated to Canada in July 1969. Trevor enjoyed many different career paths and was passionately involved in a variety of community boards and non-profit organizations as well as serving as a church warden at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. A significant part of Trevor’s life was his commitment to youth through the Air Cadets. He served for many years as an officer with the 862 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron in Lambeth and 3 Striker Air Cadet Squadron in Strathroy, reaching the rank of Major before retiring in 2007. Trevor had a variety of personal passions which included camping, woodworking, and reading.
As per Trevor’s wishes, there will be no service after his cremation. He would be pleased that everyone who knew him raise a glass of Guinness in his memory.
