Trevor was the CO of 862 Squadron when I joined. His support of me as a youngster through the Air Cadet program played a huge part of shaping me into who I am today. He always believed in the best in me and supported me with kindness and patience that is so deeply appreciated by me that I cannot find the words to express.
Cheers Jonsey! I don't drink Guinness, but I'll be having one tonight!

Trevor was raised in post war Britain, the eldest of three boys. He was pretty adventurous, leading to a coast guard rescue from sea cliffs in Devon. He attended St Alphege School and Lode Heath High School, Solihull. He excelled at woodwork, helping with the construction of the choir stalls at the newly consecrated Coventry Cathedral. He loved scouting, attending events in the Lake District, Devon and Portugal.
He enjoyed canoeing, making his own canoe from scratch (promptly sunk by his brothers when they "borrowed" it). He trained in woodwork before undertaking a career change and becoming a firefighter. With his first wife, Jane, they made the decision to emigrate to Canada to better their futures. A decision that he never regretted.
We have fond memories of touring the country on our family tree investigations, and visiting many places that he loved in the Lake District. Throughout his life he was always supportive of his UK family, offering help, guidance and support whenever he could. He will be deeply missed by all, and we thank him for a lifetime of love.
