Bob Totten posted a condolence

To the family, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Harvey Gilmour. I worked with him many years ago when Western University established its first management team at the new Weldon Library. Harvey managed the financial affairs of the library while I directed its human resource functions. We worked closely for several years and eventually moved on to other employment in London.
In my dealings with Harvey I was impressed by his professionalism and knowledge which took the library to a new level of service to the university community. He was able to show how careful attention to detail would benefit the operation of the important service offered by the library.
After we both left the university for other professional placements, I engaged Harvey to advise and assist me in establishing my own consulting business in human resources. His wise advice was appreciated and useful. I could always count on him to keep me on track regarding my business' financial affairs. He was not only professional but a joy to work with as I knew that I was getting the best advice in a timely and dependable manner.
Rest in peace Harv. It was a pleasure and privilege to know you.
