I am so very sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. I worked with Tony in the Facilities Management department at Fanshawe College for a number of years. I enjoyed working with him...you could always count on Tony and I admired his work ethic greatly. We were both poodle fans and had many conversations about Tony’s poodle, Murphy, and my poodle, Chip. I remember Tony and Jill hosting some of us from the office one afternoon and my Chip was also invited. I don’t think the two dogs hit it off too well, but I do remember Chip sitting under Tony’s chair for most of the time. He knew a good man when he met one. Bless.
My sincere condolences to Jill and family.

I first met Tony in his role as an MOL inspector when I was a health and safety coordinator at a plant in St. Thomas. Tony was a force of nature to deal with but underneath it all had a real passion and reasonableness.
Years later, I once again encountered Tony, this time in his role at Fanshawe College, where I worked as his assistant manager for 5 years. Tony was always generous sharing his wealth of knowledge and pushing for improvement in college practices.
He loved mentoring young students who were entering the health and safety field and providing a little life education along the way. I feel very fortunate to have known and worked with him.
My heartfelt condolences for your loss,
Brenda Henry

For the first fifteen years of my life, my Dad was my hero. Although he was loud and demanding, he was also loving and giving. He had a heart of gold. He was solid as a rock and I could always count on him. But life is a labyrinth of paths and due to many circumstances, our paths moved in very different directions. My love for him never diminished and although through my adult life we stayed in touch, the Dad that I had known had changed and I missed the Dad of my childhood.
I have so many beautiful memories of my Dad. One of the funniest was during our trip to South Africa. Our rental car was a Beetle and my Dad was a fairly big man. We drove to one of the coastal towns only to find that there were no hotel accommodations to be found. My Dad ended up parking the car on the beach and all five of us, Mom, Dad, Mark, Melinda and myself bunked down for the night in the Beetle. You can imagine how comical we looked, not to mention uncomfortable and squished!
My heart broke into a thousand pieces on September 17th. I love you Dad. Always have and always will. RIP I have an angel in Heaven.

I have a vivid memory of working with Tony on midnight shift in the fire lab during an LNCO strike'
We both brought air mattresses. We would rush our work, then retire to our nest in the photo darkroom. The other two in the main lab kept looking for us, but never did figure it out.
Great fellow - so sorry for your loss (also our loss)
