Obituary of Michael Murray Wilkins
Michael Wilkins peacefully passed away on October 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by family and friends after a short battle with cancer. He was in his 66th year.
He will be missed by his beloved wife Dawn Reynolds, sister Julia Cudo (Harold), stepson Tyler Gibbs (Alex Middel), stepdaughter Tiffany Gibbs (Eric Bell), his aunts, extended family and good friends. Predeceased by his mother Andoranna Wilkins and sister Norma Wilkins.
Mike had a creative mind and used his talents as a graphic designer and lithographer. Outside of work he enjoyed life with a variety of hobbies and interests. He earned his black belt in Kenpo Karate, liked experiencing new things at local festivals and making improvements in the garden or home. He loved listening to 70s and 80s Rock music, watching movies and playing online/video games. He enjoyed discussing current news topics and made people laugh with his sense of humour which often included a Monty Python reference. During hockey season he enjoyed drinking beer while watching the game with friends.
He left us to soon but would want all of us to remember his smile.
“Don’t sweat the small stuff, because life is too short”.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday November 2, 2024, from 3 to 5 pm at the South London Community Centre -Full Wakefield Room. Friends and family are welcome to come and share fond memories of Mike.
