Obituary of Martin John Cowley
On April 1, 2024, Martin John Cowley (born on December 10, 1947) passed away, under the devoted care of his wife of 50 years, Jean Cowley. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Robert (Julie) and Ryan (Sue), along with his grandson Cage and his family in England his sister Gloria (John), nephew Colin, uncle Johnny, and several aunts and uncles. Regrettably, he is preceded in death by his infant son Stephen and his brother Colin. Martin was renowned for his remarkable ability to tackle any task, having self-taught numerous trades and possessing the skill to construct almost anything from the ground up. Martin worked for Bell Canada for 25 years as a Technician and finished his career as a Court Service Officer at the Ontario Court of Justice. A passionate gardener, he cultivated a charming English garden in his backyard oasis that his family and friends frequently enjoy. Known for his active lifestyle, Martin enjoyed working out and was a longtime member of GoodLife Fitness and made many lasting relationships there. Proficient in taekwondo, he earned his black belt, competed, and won numerous mixed martial arts competitions. The family wishes to thank the staff of the McCormick home for their superior care and compassion shown to Martin. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal service to honor Martin's life.
