Obituary of Lorna Ruth Budge

Mom passed peacefully at home with family by her side on Monday, December 4, 2023. She was in her 86th year. Devoted mother of John Budge (wife Florence), David Budge, and Wendy Cavacas, all of London, ON. Loving grandmother of Christopher, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Samantha, Sarah, and Joshua. Sister of Colin (wife Jo) of Windsor and Elaine of London. Mom was the emotional leader of our family, and her life-values were successfully passed on to become values held by all her children. She was a bright light and cherished matriarch for our whole family. Mom leaves us a lasting legacy of what it means to be a dedicated, loving mother and grandmother. In gentleness and empathy, she taught us all to strive to be the best versions of ourselves. Mom loved animals and family time together in the Quebec Laurentians. As a former kindergarten teacher, and then later as a home care worker, she showed her love for people of all ages. More recently, Mom enjoyed the activities of London’s Huff & Puff club playing table tennis. She loved her daily walks outside and she always embraced any opportunity to connect with family. Mom will always be cherished and lives on in the hearts of all of her descendants. As per Lorna’s wishes, cremation services have been provided. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of our dear mother and grandmother.
