Born on January 12, 1939 in Port Arthur, Ontario, Jack died peacefully at the age of 84, with family at his side, at Parkwood Hospital, in London, Ontario.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce (Karam), parents, William (Bill) and Alice (Grimshaw), brother, Ted, nephew, Andrew and niece, Marion.

Raised in Port Arthur, Jack worked as a heavy vehicle mechanic for the Department of Highways. A switch to high school teaching coincided with a move to Geraldton in 1966 and later to Guelph in 1976. Upon retirement in 1993, Jack and Joyce began splitting their time between Strathroy and Florida, until settling in London in 2007. An active curler until leaving the north, Jack followed that sport as well as his beloved Maple Leafs and Blue Jays avidly.
A heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team of medical professionals in London and Strathroy.
A celebration of life will be held for Jack and Joyce at Celebration Forest in London on September 17, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. If desired, donations should be made in Jack’s memory to a charity of your choice.
