Obituary of James Newbigging Hamilton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Hamilton on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his Wife, partner and “Wee Bonnie Lassie” Mary (Blaney) Hamilton of 62 years. Proud father of Robert (Carrie), Ronnie (Rose) and Stephen (Cathy). Loving Grandpa to Jerry (Michelle) Smith, Chad (Rebecca), Leanna (Greg) Morrow, Jordan, Taylor, and Matthew (Hay). As well as a Great-Grandpa to Brayden and Riley Smith and Myla Morrow. Newly married, Jimmy and Mary took a leap of faith and immigrated to London (Canada) in 1957 from Glasgow, Scotland. This was to become their home for over 60 years. A hard-working man, Jimmy was a long-standing employee of Westinghouse (ABB) until his retirement. A member of the Byron Legion and the Masonic Temple. There was nothing he enjoyed more than watching his Glasgow Rangers, a glass of red wine and spending time with his beloved Mary. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
