Obituary of Dorielle Létourneau-Ames
Létourneau-Ames, Dorielle
Peacefully surrounded by the great loves of her life, Dorielle passed away in her 69th year on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Parkwood Hospital in London, ON.
Beloved and devoted wife to Barry Ames of London, ON. Loving maman to Alyson (Brett Juergens) of London, ON. Proud stepmom to Samantha Ames (Gregory Matheson) of Kirkland Lake, ON and Ryan Ames (Jennifer Fey) of Matachewan, ON. Most of all, she was the best Mimi to her “petits amours” Quinten Juergens, Isabella Juergens, Lucan Juergens, Sophie Juergens, Blake Ames and Bryce Ames.
She will be remembered fondly by her siblings Liette Breton (Jean-Denis), Lucille Parent, Nicole Tabaka (John), Paul Létourneau, Germain Létourneau and Alain Létourneau (Louise). She will also be missed by her brother’s in-law Bruce Ames of London, ON, Kelly Ames (Bonnie) of Cobolt, ON and her sister’s in-law Wendy Ames of Toronto, ON and Cindy Elston (Frank) of Colbalt, ON.
She is predeceased by her father St. Georges Létourneau, her mother Antoinette Létourneau, her sister Carmel Hamilton and her dear nephew Serge Parent.
Dorielle was the life of every party and brightened the lives of all who knew her. She will be very missed by all her treasured nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dorielle loved being a teacher and truly had a passion for helping children and adolescents with mental health challenges through her life coaching and anti-bullying therapy.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held this summer.
A special thank you to the staff at the Parkwood Hospital, the LHSC Geriatric Behavioral Unit and the McGarrell Long Term Care home for all their care and support.
In Lieu of donations and in memory of our dear Dorielle, the family requests to honor her memory by being kind to others and helping someone in need. She always believed a smile could change someone’s whole day and always reminded us to “seize the moment”.
