May was a longstanding participant in my exercise class at Parkwood. We spent many Fridays laughing with volunteers and sharing stories/recipes. Her determination and drive to continue even on days when pain was limiting her involvement, was evident. Above all she had a sharp mind and remarkable ability to remember conversations that she would revisit months later. May cared a great deal about other people even when she was struggling herself. I am pleased I had the time to rekindle our relationship over the phone most recently. She will be remembered and missed by all the staff, volunteers and participants of the Maintenance Program at Parkwood. RIP May....
