Obituary of John Mackie

After a courageous battle with cancer, John, born in Scotland September 6th, 1957, sadly left us on June 23rd, 2018 to join his mum Theresa Mackie (April 7th, 2016) and his dad Robert Mackie (May 22nd, 2018). Beloved husband to Brenda for 14 years. Cherished father of John Joseph (Krystal) Mackie, Michael Mackie and proud grandad to Ty Mackie, all of Edmonton. Loved brother of Gerard Mackie, Theresa Marie (Dave) Jack and Andrew Mackie. He will be truly missed by Linda (sister-in-law), step-children, nephews, niece and their families. John had many friends all around the world. But we would like to thank Bobby Baxter, Jimmy Whitelaw and George Dodds all for their love and support they gave John over the past 6 months with his fight, we are truly grateful. To all the doctors, nurses, LHSC and home care of CCAC for your compassion, care and kindness. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Holy Family (777 Valetta St, London), at Friday June 29th at 10:00am. Followed by the interment at St. Peters Cemetery Mausoleum, 806 Victoria St, London, Ont. Friends and family wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider Canadian Cancer Society and it would be appreciated by the family.
