Obituary of Paul Lennox Wood

Wood, Paul Lennox (August 7, 1949 – December 20, 2020) On the 20th day of December 2020, at 3:45am, in his 72nd year, Paul Lennox Wood left our sides and the world he knew. He moved on leaving his beloved wife Mara, sons David, Michael and Christopher, sister Rita (Brian), brothers Richard, Leonard, Martin, Michael (Peggy), his grandchildren, along with many family and friends. Paul has left us, yet he is not alone. He was greeted with open arms by his family (mother, father, sisters, brother, cousins) and friends, to help guide him through his next journey. Paul was a good hearted person who believed in providing for his family and enjoying life with them and the many friendships created over the years…salt of the earth he was! He requested to be cremated, which has taken place and will be interred together with his wife when they meet again. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held, with those who’s hearts he had touched, once we get through these unparalleled times. To his family, friends and the amazing medical team, that supported him over the years batteling strokes, heart issues, leukemia and property taxes… a quadzillion thank you’s! A gentleman, by the name of Hunter S. Thompson, once wrote: Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, WOW…WHAT A RIDE!!
