Obituary of Jerry Davis

DAVIS, Jerry (Gerald Gordon), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, in his 92nd year. Dearly loved husband of 68 years of Joyce (Barr) Davis. Loving father of Wendy McGuffin (Ian) and Vicki MacKinnon (Don). Predeceased by his son, Todd (2013). Adored Grandpa of Amanda D’Alimonte, Vanessa McGuffin, Trevor McGuffin, Troy Tillmann, Patrick MacKinnon and Justine Davis. Loved Great Grandpa of 5 wonderful children. Survived by his brother, Doug Davis, predeceased by his brothers, Norm and Bob. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jerry was an amazing person, a charismatic gentleman with a wonderful deep voice. Over the years Jerry entertained many people doing magic and card tricks, telling jokes and stories, and hosting as a DJ at parties and weddings. Jerry was a great salesman and a proud part owner of a printing company. Jerry loved baseball and played slow pitch in Florida from age 70 to 79. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at the Lambeth Legion, 7097 Kilbourne Road, London, on Sunday, September 22, 2019. The doors will be open at 11 am and the service will begin at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph’s Hospice, 485 Windermere Road, London, would be appreciated and may be made directly or through Ontario Cremation Services Inc.
