Obituary of Mary Peel Hamilton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Hamilton on Monday, February 5th, 2018, in her 84th year. Wife, partner and “Wee Bonnie Lassie” to James (Jimmy) Hamilton for 62 years. Proud mother of Robert (Carrie), Ronnie (Rose) and Stephen (Cathy). Loving Granny to Jerry (Michelle) Smith, Chad (Rebecca), Leanna (Greg) Morrow, Jordan, Taylor, and Matthew Hay. As well as a Great-Granny to Brayden and Riley Smith. Newly married, Mary and Jimmy took a leap of faith and immigrated to London (Canada) in 1957 from Glasgow, Scotland. This was to become their home for over 60 years. Mary worked hard raising her boys and continuing her education. This lead to a career of over twenty years at University Hospital. A hard-working, passionate figure of strength who never waned in her support or love of her family, and who soldiered on, even when times were tough. Her joys were simple, time spent with her family, friends, cachinkin’ and a good hot cuppa. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
