Obituary of Joanne Patricia Donahue

Died Friday June 23rd, 2017, in University Hospital, London, Ontario, with her sisters by her bedside. She was 64 years old. Joanne leaves behind her younger sisters Paula Catherine (Joel Keenleyside) and Monica (Kim Froats), her niece and nephew Alida and Gabriel Keenleyside. She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert Brian Donahue and Mildred Mary (Boojack) Donahue, and her youngest sister Mary Kathleen. Great thanks to her extended family, many neighbours, Anna Chevalier, Covent Garden Market colleagues, and others, who ensured that she had constant company and support during her brief illness and death. Tammy Fisher (MSW), Dr. Sharon Koivu, Dr. Sara Kuruvilla, and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital provided an environment that perfectly suited Joanne during her final weeks and days, and which greatly comforted her family. Simple interment on Friday, June 30th at 11:00am at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 806 Victoria Street, London. Celebration and Reminiscences in Joanne’s memory on July 27th, 2017 from 5-8pm, upstairs in the Covent Garden Market, 130 King St. London.
