Obituary of Eric C. W Gosse

Died at AMGH in Goderich, on Saturday, January 27th, 2018, due to complications from COPD. Wonderful husband of Carol, loving & caring father of Tracey and Sean, and dearly loved “Poppa” of granddaughter, Lauren. Eric was 81. He is also survived by his siblings, Bonnie, Barb and Ray. Eric was recruited by the O.P.P. in Toronto, in 1970, was posted to Goderich where he spent all of his 24 years of service. Eric retired in 1994. He loved his job, enjoyed meeting the public, and loved to tell his many, varied experiences resulting from his job. He was a devoted husband, awesome father and delighted to be Lauren’s “Poppa”. He took enjoyment in his relationships with nieces, nephews and family. As a father, he was always supportive of his kids and took great pride in their accomplishments. He relished his friendships with his former working buddies, and with those people he had encountered during the course of his career. As a husband, he was the best and will be missed so much. Eric will be cremated as he wished. A Celebration of his Life will take place in May 2018.
