Obituary of Sid Veenstra

November 3rd, 1935-May 8th, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sid at the age of 82. Beloved husband and best friend in their 61st year of marriage, Gloria Joan (Kendall). Predeceased by son Kenneth (2016) (Catherine), loving son Ronald (Tara Knox), grandfather to Kristin (Daniel Roach), Joseph, Thomas and Nicholas. Great grandfather to Wilfrid Roach. His caring heart made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. His smile and warm spirit would fill the room with light. Predeceased by his parents Klaas and Anna, Woodstock. Dearly missed by sister Katherine(Beverley) Campbell, and all his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and many friends .Never forgotten by his childhood friends Cecil and Lorraine Westra. Funeral services will be held at St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Byron on Wednesday May 16th at 1 pm. Reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations to the McCormick Home would be appreciated by the family.
