Obituary of John Christopher Carson

John Christopher “Chris” Carson, born December 19, 1946, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on August 21, 2026. Chris was the beloved husband of Mary Carson (nee Duncan), cherished brother of Kurt Bespflug and Karl Carson, and father to Danny, all of British Columbia. He was a loving bonus dad to Robert (Alison) Gallant and Katie (Blair) Gallant, and a proud Papa to Clark, Audrey, and River. Chris was an adventurer at heart, always drawn to the freedom and excitement of the open road and open sky. He loved flying planes and riding motorcycles, embracing every opportunity to explore and experience life. A talented musician, Chris also found joy and expression through music, sharing his gift with those around him. Chris always had a soft spot for animals and cherished the companionship of his pets over the years. Most recently, Lily and Bonnie held a special place in his heart. Above all, Chris treasured his family. He will be remembered for his love, stubbornness, laughter, stories, and adventurous spirit. His curiosity and zest for life touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be carried forward by Mary, his family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. A small family gathering will be held at a future date in lieu of a formal service.
