Loved by a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins and their families as well as many friends. Julie was supported by staff at The Alice Saddy Association for over 50 years She was one of their first clients. She was loved and cared for by “her staff” who became her trusted and loved friends. Alice Saddy staff became family. With these supports, Julie was able to live independently until 2014. Support continued during her 11+ years at Omni - Country Terrace. The staff at Country Terrace cared for Julie with kindness and love over the past eleven plus years. Dr. Andrew Whynot is an amazing physician who leads the medical care for Julie and all residents with compassion and skill. Julie’s family are very thankful to Dr. Whynot and the entire care team at Country Terrace. Julie was active and participated in all activities until very recently. Julie especially enjoyed Bingo, colouring, knitting, crafts, church services, TV, Search for Words, Gin Rummy, Euchre, Solitaire and other activities. She was known as a “card shark”. She greatly enjoyed “pretend tickling” with staff and family. We thank Rachel and many others on the activities team that keeps residents active and involved. Julie especially enjoyed meals at Swiss Chalet (chicken pot pie and a glass of red wine) or Tim Horton’s for a Maple glazed donut and a coffee. Julie also enjoyed dinners and gatherings at the homes of family, friends and support staff. Her family are all very grateful for the caring, love and kindness shown Julie by staff at Country Terrace and The Alice Saddy Association. Her life was enriched by both groups of professional, caring individuals. They helped Julie live a long, enjoyable life filled with love.
