Obituary of William Carl Fetter
In Loving Memory of William “Bill” Carl Fetter, Forever in Our Hearts:
With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of William “Bill” Carl Fetter, on November 10th, 2025. He was a man whose heart, hands, and spirit shaped the lives of everyone around him.
Bill was the devoted husband of (Betty) Louise Fetter, with whom he shared a bond built on love, care, and unwavering devotion. Together, they created a home that overflowed with warmth, kindness, and family. He was a proud and loving father to Troy Fetter, Kimberley Scott and her husband James, and Chantelle Maouhoub and her husband Simo. To his grand-children; Cody, Colin, Brandon, and Grace, he was more than a grandpa. He was a hero, a teacher, a true example of hard work and devotion, a storyteller, and a safe place to land. Bill was the son of Fredrick and Mary (Page) Fetter and a cherished brother, John and Carolyn Fetter, with whom he shared a bond of care, and laughter. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and he worked tirelessly every day to give them the best life he could.
From sunrise to sunset, Bill embodied the true meaning of hard work. Whether in his career, his home, or his garden, he gave his all with quiet strength and humble purpose. His hands told the story of a lifetime spent providing, building, creating, and caring. He was never one to boast, his actions spoke for him. He had a great sense of humour and loved to make others laugh. Even in the hardest moments, he found a way to bring a smile to those around him.
He found peace in the earth beneath his feet and joy in the beauty he could grow with his own hands. His gardens were a reflection of his soul; patient, nurturing, and full of life. Bill’s kindness was boundless. He gave without hesitation, helped without being asked, and loved without measure. To know him was to know compassion, honesty, and quiet strength. He made people feel seen, valued, and cared for in a world that too often forgets such things.
Though he may now rest and his gardens may seem still, his presence fills every corner of the hearts he leaves behind.
The lessons he taught through his actions; to work hard, to be kind, to care deeply; will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
A few days before he passed, he asked how he would get to heaven, and if he would fly; and now we know he soars there, free and at peace. May he rest peacefully in the garden of heaven he so richly deserves. He was the heart of our family, the steady hand that guided, and the gentle soul that gave so much. The love he planted in this world will continue to grow forever.
Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to Parkinsons of Canada, www.donate.parkinson.ca.
