Obituary of Edward M. Yeats

We are saddened to announce the passing of Edward (Ed) M. Yeats at Parkwood Palliative Care on July 31, 2025, at the age of 79. Ed is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Beth; his children, Andrea Broersma (Josh) and Ryan Yeats (Tiiu); his grandchildren, Juliana Broersma, Landon, Alena, and Wesley Yeats; Xander and Sophie Crozier; and his brother, Will Yeats (Cathy). He was predeceased by his parents, Isabella and Robert Yeats; his brother, Bob Yeats; and his sister, Alice White. Ed was an avid sports fan and a loyal supporter of the London Knights, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Toronto Blue Jays. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Byron Legion on Saturday, September 20th. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM, with refreshments served at 5:30 PM, followed by a time of words of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s memory could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
